This is definetely their M.O., but they can't be sued for slander as they will never be men enough to use someone's name.

I'm glad she was able to walk away with little damage. If she had stayed they (the Elders) would of tag teamed her from the podium. Only she would of known they were speaking of her and she would of been in a mental hell of misery as they cunningly brow beat her from the Jehovah's stage.

Yet, these are Jehovah's appointed people.

Kudos to her for using her good given discernment.

once the spell is broken, one you take a deep fresh breath outisde of the watchtower camp, the amazingly obvious realisation becomes clear.... of course this is a lie, of course this is ridiculous!

you find you have memories of really believing the claims and promises, but it seems like another life, another experience.

it seems so incredibly false once you leave and it is very difficult to belive you even once accepted it!

Very insightful.

we all kinda knew it was b.s., we all knew there was a spell on our thought processes and we could have worked harder to leave earlier.

I'll never forget studying out of the Live Forever book and questioning 607 BCE, the seventy weeks, and some kinda tree prophecy. I don't rember all the specifics, but I do recall vividly my bible conductor telling me it would become clear to me as I grew spiritually while receiving more and more of Jehovah's holy spiritand Who didn't want to pleasing to Jehovah?

I was strongly thinking of a Math major at the time and the numbers just didn't add up. You get so caught up in trying to please GOD by progressing spiritually that you never stop to think that if I change my mind or make a mistake before baptisim I will be unannounced.

Your just looking forward to arriving at that next spiritual level as you are unknowingly moving out of reality and closer and closer into fantasy land.

Scared I'll Never be Happy Again

so it's' been 8 months since i was disfellowshiped.

i moved out of my mothers house accross the country to room with a friend.

things have been going ok, it's just strange to be so far away from everything that felt familiar, even the meetings.

It is a scary hurtful feeling. I can assure you that your life will never be the same. You are not the same and never will be again. You've been damaged, disappointed, and probaly very let down. They may look at you different, but you will never look at them the same again.

At times you may feel lonely, you might have to take up a hobby or two. Do your best to avoid an atmosphere of self-destruction. You arso much better than that. You will have good days and bad ones just as everyone else does, but just think all your days will be guilt free and you have the TTATT freedom.

However, I can say with all certainty if you give your new life a chance it will be so much better.

Your blessings will be double for your trouble.

Remember happiness is a state of mind.

Awful experience: I threw my WT library out!

yes, i threw my wt library out: my recycle bin was full.

even if i had imagined this experience to be similar to a prisoner getting rid of his chains, this was not so.. instead, it brought up all the memories i had shared with my family where we were excited about the release of the revelation book; the clear feeling of ultimate knowledge when we showed the live forever book, the questions i had practiced with my family in the organized book, my cousins who got baptized as well.

somehow, all i could think of was only the good memories i had shared with my family and almost cried about it.. and then, i started to think of the division, the hatred and the pain that became prevalent in my family as some were disfellowshipped and thus, ostracized.

More often than not the thought of having left and letting go of everything is an emotional rollercoaster.

i have come to the conclusion that posting here and visiting this site is not healthy for me anymore.

i just get angry and upset when i read all the stories of injustice and corruption that go on in the jehovahs witness religion.

they are true no doubt, as i have personally experienced many injustices and abuses in my life from being a witness.

@mrquik- One really wanted to make an example of me & dragged out the reinstatement for 3 yrs. Got disgusted & went looking for the truth.

Wow! And yet they claim to be speaking for Jehovah. It's an enlightening day when you know the scriptures, have a awesome relationship with GOD and can clearly see they are not speaking for him at all.

Their failure to show any type of mercy whatsoever and lack of compassion speaks volumes.

So glad to read of all the happiness being experienced by so many on the outside of the organization now.

@DRutherforfd-I was determined to be a spiritual man again. I set down and decided to read the Bible through. Every night I would just read the Bible... no publications... just the Bible. I was going to be strong again!

I looked around and saw a whole congregation who were nodding their heads in agreement -eyes glazed over. They did not have a clue what they believed, and were willing to die for it. It was scary, and I realized I was becoming an outsider.

My leaving the organization was not because I lost my faith, but I left because of my faith. I finally was finding faith in Jesus.

These three snipets read like you cut them right out of my life. I'm so glad you are awakened and are even happier from finding the truth about Christ then you ever were in the WTBT$. A lot of what you wrote I can relate to on a personal level.

It's an amazing feeling finding out that you were a lot stronger than they and yet because of your faith you allowed yourself to be tried and judged by the Elders. It's an amazing feeling to be free.

I truly enjoyed your story and I was so very sorry to read of your losses. You are truly an asset to the board. Thanks for sharing your story.

@ darth Rutherford- I married a "spiritual" woman. But, I realized within weeks of marrying that I made a major mistake. I knew this wasn't going to be easy, but I respected my vows. I'd work hard to make it work, and did so for almost fourteen years. Divorce was never an option... so there came a point where I was praying to Jehovah that I would die in my sleep. I was miserable and wanted to die. The worse fear was that she and I would survive Armageddon and then I'd be stuck with her for all eternity! If that had happened, I was going to be the first suicide in paradise!

Darth I had to respond right away just so I wouldn't burst my appendix. I'll finish reading the rest later, but this is by far the funniest $hi! I have read on here ever. I laughed so hard I almost wet myself. Still ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MY BUTT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fake friends and other things that annoy me about the Kingdom Hall

it was easy to figure people out.

as long as you got out in service and put money in the money box people will pretend to be your "friend".. but let's be honest is most of business associates.

they are your friends as long as you are active doing the watchtower bidding.. and then let's talk about the lack of hot women.

@villagegirl- guys approach me back in the day who were poor, had no education, and

dressed in frayed shirts and garish ties and god knows where they got their suits,

and under the suit was a little skinny guy, with bad teeth and worse breath, and

who was thinking he was only going to have the prettiest freshest young girl

-It's still like that. A brother wearing a suit so young you would of thought he was auditioning for the part of a grown up Alfalfa in a Little Rascals remake.

Most of the witnesses were fake and shallow. They were determined to try and sound and look the part. Instead of just being who they were.

Help With Legal Project - Children in Judicial Meetings

an acquaintance in canada is making a serious attempt at ending children being forced, or coerced, to attend a judicial meeting.. are there any here who had to attend such a meeting, and would be willing to contribute their feelings?.

likewise, any who were baptized as minors, but felt later that at the time of their baptism, they were not old enough to have made that decision..

So sad they want the chidren to get baptized younger and younger and before their thought processes can discern things critically and analytically.
